1. The receipt of Transaction
Situation:
What a surprise! Based on my observation, most people use to throwing away their receipt after any purchasing. This is a very dangerous behavior. On one hand, you cannot prove your transaction according if you want to claim something upon it, such as refund. On the other hand, it may cause delay of your inquiry because people take time to trace back your transaction, especially, you forget the date, the time, or the place of the particular transaction.
Rule of Thumb:
1. Keep all your receipts first, then check your transaction record from time to time, such as every week, before throw them away.
2. Incomplete Transaction due to Machine Malfunction
Situation:
This is a very serious thing if you insert your debit card but the transaction has not completed due to malfunction of the transaction machine. This is because your debit card account might be charged already even though the transaction was not successful.
Rule of Thumb:
If you find out that your account has been charged due to this problem, just go and log a report to the particular bank. What you need to do is just fill in a form and then submit it to the officer. Normally, the money will refund to your account. But don't forget to bring your receipt along to prove it, if any.
That's all for today. I hope your debit card will not bring you trouble in the future. Feel free to give me a comment about this topic or any suggestion about Xaivier Blog. It will be a great support to Xaivier Blog.
