3 Basic Guidelines for Making a Personal Development Plan

A personal development plan serves as a blueprint to an individual as he makes his journey through self-enhancement and development. Here is a list of things you should do to make a personal development plan specifically for you:

1. Recognize your present state
First, KNOW yourself. It means that you have to know your present condition in life, which include knowing where you are and what you are like. This is vital during the process of making any self-improvement. Identify your strengths and weaknesses, then classifying your capabilities and shortcomings. Besides, you should also recognize what skills you have and skills you lack.

2. Identify your goal
Second, IDENTIFY your goal. Goal setting is a must for success. In personal development, your goal is to know where you want to be in the short and long term. To achieve your final goal, you must figure out the things you need to develop, improvement needed and the way to reach the next stage in your personal maturity. Be concrete and realistic.

3. Work your way to success
ACTION. List out steps needed to achieve your goal. Always keep track of your improvement. A clear and practical list of resources should be prepared to help you in meeting your target. Identify kind of support you need. If you want to have a better computer skill, buy a computer first. Never be easily contented with the first few improvements. Rather, keep challenging yourself to move forward. If not, you might stop improving altogether and end up with nothing.

Indeed, the first thing we need to do is to nurture a positive thinking habit.

It is quite impossible for us to achieve excellent result with a positive mind set.
